What does it mean to “meditate” on Scripture?

In this first Going Deeper session, we’ll spend time with Psalm 1, noticing something subtle but important: the psalm doesn’t just talk about engaging Scripture—it actually does it. As we read carefully, we’ll see how Psalm 1 reflects on earlier Scripture and, in doing so, quietly teaches its readers how to read.

This session is an invitation to slow down and pay attention—to experience what careful, attentive reading can look like when Scripture is given time and space to speak for itself. Along the way, we’ll model the kind of thoughtful exegesis that helps Scripture be understood clearly and shared faithfully.
